Wazdan has secured Danish gaming licence
Wazdan has achieved a key milestone in its international growth by obtaining a licence from Spillemyndigheden, Denmark’s gambling regulator. This approval allows the gaming provider to offer its portfolio of slot games to operators in the Danish market.

The move brings Wazdan’s popular titles to a fresh audience, enhancing its presence in regulated markets across Europe.
A Wazdan spokesperson noted: “Cooperating with major casino regulators is a top priority for Wazdan. It ensures secure, transparent, and rewarding partnerships for operators worldwide. We’re thrilled to announce that our games are now fully licensed in Denmark, delivering the true value of online gaming to a new market.”
The Danish licence adds to Wazdan’s impressive list of regulatory achievements. Earlier this year, the company expanded into Italy by partnering with CasinoMania. This collaboration introduced over 40 slot games to Italian players, reinforcing Wazdan’s commitment to growth in regulated markets.

Netherlands Gaming Authority has introduced new fine policy for 2025
The Netherlands Gaming Authority (KSA) has presented a new fine policy, effective from 1 January 2025. The revised guidelines aim to provide clearer enforcement rules for the Dutch gambling sector.
The updated policy introduces a structured system with five categories of violations. Basic fines range from €500 (£430) to €2 million (£1.72m). Category 5, the highest tier, applies exclusively to breaches of the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act.
The new framework excludes certain violations, such as illegal online gambling and unauthorised gaming machine operations. These areas maintain their existing fine systems due to specific regulatory needs.
KSA Chairman Michel Groothuizen emphasised the authority’s growing professionalism. “After the online market opened in 2021, we introduced a new category of licence holders. In 2022, we issued our first fine to one of these licence holders,” he said.
Groothuizen explained that the new policy reflects the experience gained over recent years. “This approach offers clarity to the parties we supervise. It also encourages compliance to avoid fines,” he added.
