This expanded integration offers a more extensive selection of gaming options from Belatra to Slotegrator’s clients.

Misha Voinich, Belatra’s Business Development Manager, emphasised the importance of this ongoing partnership in expanding Belatra’s presence in the market and introducing innovative gaming solutions to operators and players alike.

Khoren Ispiryan, Senior Sales Manager at Slotegrator, noted Belatra Games’ success in creating exciting content, underscoring how these additions strengthen Slotegrator’s offering and enhance its appeal to a broader audience.

Meanwhile, the Dutch Ministry of Justice has confirmed that new regulations aimed at safeguarding the market will take effect on October 1st. According to the new rules, operators must ensure that customers establish personal limits on their gambling spend. Financial checks will be mandatory for cases where monthly deposit limits exceed €350 (€150 for players under 25).

The maximum deposit limits are set at €700 for those over 25 and €300 for those under 25. Customers opting for these maximum limits will be required to have a one-on-one interaction with trained customer service personnel. This interaction can take place either over the phone or through the gaming platform, but it must involve human staff rather than automated chatbots. During this contact, staff must inform customers about the national exclusion register known as CRUKS.

Customers will have the flexibility to decrease their deposit limits at any time, but if they wish to increase them, they must wait for a period of seven days. Additionally, players must be regularly notified about their risk profiles and spending behaviours. Operators are required to display pop-up messages regarding spending limits and behaviour every 30 minutes. Clients must also be informed when they reach 50% and 100% of their spending limits, and they must be logged out of their accounts upon reaching the latter threshold.

All license holders must complete the required technical adjustments by October 1st. The Ministry of Justice has stressed the obligation for licensees to adapt their systems in accordance with the updated regulations. This involves ensuring players receive transparent and understandable information regarding their gaming limits, and ensuring that staff, trained in addiction prevention, are accessible to players who set high deposit limits.

Earlier, the Dutch Gaming Authority announced the establishment of a new Online Duty of Care Department to oversee how online gambling operators comply with their duty of care obligations.
