This partnership supports QTech’s ongoing expansion in key markets such as Asia, Latin America, Africa, and CIS countries, where the demand for online gaming continues to rise.

SmartSoft’s games will complement QTech’s existing portfolio, which already includes content from developers like Evolution and Yggdrasil.

Yggdrasil has teamed up with Paf Group in Spain

Yggdrasil has partnered with Paf Group to supply its slot games to SpeedyBet, which has just launched in Spain. As part of this deal, SpeedyBet’s new Spanish players will gain access to Yggdrasil’s slot portfolio.

This partnership marks Yggdrasil’s debut in the Spanish market, with its games now integrated into SpeedyBet’s online casino offering. Paf Group, which acquired the Speedy brand in 2021, is already active in Spain through its Paf.es site.

Yggdrasil continues to grow its presence in regulated markets. In 2021, it entered the Dutch market through a partnership with Circus.nl, offering a range of slot games, including those from its YG Masters programme.

Jose Kadala, Yggdrasil’s Commercial Director, said: “Spain is a key market for us, and this collaboration lets us bring our engaging slots to a new audience. We believe our games will resonate with Spanish players and help SpeedyBet become a top operator in the market.”

Cristina Sebastian, Paf’s Country Manager for Spain, added: “Yggdrasil is known for its high-quality slots, which align with our goal of offering an exciting and entertaining experience. With its popular titles on SpeedyBet, we’re confident Spanish players will find plenty to enjoy.”

Earlier, Yggdrasil partnered with Galera.bet to broaden its footprint in Brazil.

Dutch online gambling companies are facing class action lawsuits

Online gambling companies in the Netherlands are facing class action lawsuits from players aiming to recover losses incurred before online gambling was legalised.

The legal action comes after a key court ruling in April, where two unlicensed online gambling firms were ordered to reimburse two players who had each lost around €200,000. Lawyer Benzi Loonstein described the decision as a groundbreaking moment for the industry.

Two separate groups are now leading mass claims against these gambling companies. The foundation Gokverliesterug is calling for companies to repay losses suffered by Dutch players before October 2021, when online gambling became legal in the country.

Lawyer Koen Rutten, representing Gokverliesterug, said many foreign gambling firms flouted Dutch regulations for years, assuming they wouldn’t face consequences. Despite now holding licences, he argued, they should still be held accountable for their actions during that period.

Another mass claim, led by Loonstein Advocaten, has already gathered over 20,000 participants.

Before October 2021, online gambling was illegal in the Netherlands. However, many international operators such as Unibet, Bwin, and Pokerstars continued to serve Dutch players.

Since legalisation, the Dutch market now has 27 companies with 37 licensed brands, a number that continues to rise each year.
