Pragmatic Play has expanded DoradoBet deal with Smart Studio in Peru
Pragmatic Play has significantly expanded its partnership with DoradoBet. The supplier will now provide its Smart Studio live casino content in Peru. This move marks the latest deployment of this customisable solution across Latin America.
The agreement introduces Pragmatic Play’s branded live casino environments directly to the DoradoBet platform. Moreover, Smart Studio uses advanced branding tools. These allow operators like DoradoBet to fully personalise their live casino offerings.
Victor Arias, VP of LatAm at Arrise, commented on the deal. He stated: “Smart Studio continues gaining strong traction across Latin America. Furthermore, this extension with DoradoBet reflects the growing demand for customisable live casino environments. Ultimately, the solution helps operators deliver more engaging player experiences while boosting brand visibility.”

Belgium proposes stricter gambling laws to boost player protection
Belgium’s gambling regulator, the Kansspelcommissie (KSC), has backed a new bill to strengthen player safeguards and regulatory oversight. The proposed law introduces several key changes.
Firstly, the draft legislation proposes a weekly deposit limit of €200 per gambling platform. Furthermore, it aims to ban gambling with credit. It also plans to restrict the number of betting licences for newsagents.
Additionally, the bill seeks to extend the national self-exclusion register, EPIS, to include bars. It would also limit the number of slot machines in these venues.
The KSC supports the bill but suggests a phased implementation. For instance, the expanded exclusion system may not be fully active until May 2026. The regulator also has some reservations about a full credit card gambling ban.
This development follows recent appointments to the KSC. Earlier this year, Belgium also introduced a ban on gambling sports sponsorships. However, the regulator has recently expressed frustration at the slow pace of wider reforms. KSC president Magali Clavie is pushing for more operational resources and strategic updates.
The push for reform is underscored by new data. In 2024, daily gambling platform users averaged 155,643, a 37.4% increase from 2020. Monthly player counts also grew by 19.8% to 602,288. Conversely, land-based casinos saw only about 15,937 daily visitors.
Currently, Belgium’s self-exclusion system, EPIS, has over 56,000 registrations. About a third joined voluntarily, showing a significant demand for player protection tools.
