While the full portfolio isn’t part of the initial integration, both companies have plans to expand the range of offerings in the future.

Sky Betting and Gaming has been active in forming key partnerships. Earlier this year, the company collaborated with Octoplay to grow its presence in the UK market.

Joseph Williams, Content Manager at Sky Betting & Gaming, said: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Hacksaw Gaming. Their innovative games will add a new level of excitement for our players. We can’t wait to see how this partnership evolves.”

For Hacksaw Gaming, this marks another significant milestone. In June, the company launched its first branded slot with Kaizen Gaming. It also secured a distribution deal with Scommettendo in Italy.

Marcus Cordes, CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, commented on the partnership: “We’re proud to welcome Sky Betting and Gaming as a partner. Their stellar reputation in the industry aligns with our commitment to delivering unique and engaging gaming content. We’re confident their players will love our games.”

New legislation in the Netherlands seeks to strengthen gambling restrictions

Dutch gambling laws have tightened since online gambling became legal in 2021. An untargeted gambling ad ban took effect in July 2023, followed by stricter deposit limits in October. However, concerns persist about the industry’s impact on public health and safety.

A recent government review of the Remote Gambling Act revealed major shortcomings. It found current regulations failed to ensure a safe gambling market or adequately protect players from harm. Opposition MPs now call for tougher measures to address these issues.

Michiel van Nispen, leader of the Socialist Party, and Mirjam Bikker, leader of Christen Unie, have proposed a new private members’ bill. This legislation aims to ban all gambling ads, impose mandatory deposit and play-time limits for online casinos, and outlaw credit-based gambling. The MPs also demand an update to the CRUKS self-exclusion scheme and increased contributions from gambling operators to healthcare programmes addressing gambling addiction.

Bikker stated: “Gambling has serious consequences for young people in the Netherlands. The industry is dangerous and highly addictive. We must act now to protect them better.”

Van Nispen added: “The gambling sector’s freedom has led to widespread misery and severe social damage. It’s time to tighten the screws and protect vulnerable individuals.”

Delaware North partners with Playtech to elevate Betly sportsbook and casino platform

Delaware North has unveiled a new partnership with Playtech, marking a major step forward for its Betly sportsbook and casino platform. Over the coming months, Betly will be integrated to Playtech’s industry-leading platform, bringing enhanced features and capabilities to its users.

This collaboration will debut in Ohio, where Betly recently launched. It will replace the existing MVGBet system under an affiliate licence deal with Miami Valley Gaming, a Delaware North venture.

Currently, Betly operates as a sportsbook in Ohio, Arkansas, and Tennessee, and as a combined sportsbook and casino platform in West Virginia. The new partnership will see all of these services transition to Playtech’s innovative technology, promising a superior user experience.

In May, Delaware North reinforced its commitment to innovation by partnering with QCI to enhance data intelligence capabilities.

Lee Terfloth, Chief Interactive Gaming Officer at Delaware North, stated: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Playtech. This move allows us to deliver an enhanced mobile sports betting and online casino experience for Betly customers. The Playtech platform also enables us to offer more advanced promotional tools, including bonus bets, boosts, drawings, and tournaments.

This deal reflects Playtech’s ongoing push into the US market. Recently, Playtech renewed its long-standing partnership with Continent 8 Technologies and expanded its collaboration with bet365 in Pennsylvania this October.
