Danish gambling spend has risen in March 2025, driven by growth in the online casino sector

Gambling spend in Denmark rose by 1.4% year-on-year in March 2025, according to new data from the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden). Online casinos led the growth, with revenue increasing by 6.4% compared to March 2024.

Digital gambling continues to outpace traditional formats. Betting, land-based casinos, and gaming machines all saw small declines.

For the first time, land-based bingo appears as a separate category in the monthly report. This follows regulatory changes on 1 January 2025, allowing licensed operators to offer bingo commercially. Charitable bingo remains under the lottery segment.

Spillemyndigheden also released its annual report, The Gambling Market in Numbers 2024. It confirms the rise of online gambling in Denmark. The channelisation rate hit 91.5% last year, up from 90.8% in 2023. Denmark currently holds the fifth position worldwide in terms of regulated online gambling market share.

The report reviewed betting patterns during major events, including UEFA Euro 2024. It noted higher stakes when Denmark played. Responsible gambling efforts also featured, with updates on the ROFUS self-exclusion register and the StopSpillet helpline.

Relax Gaming has enhanced its Dream Drop Network with the introduction of Daily Jackpots

Relax Gaming has raised the stakes once again by launching Daily Jackpots across its popular Dream Drop network.

From now on, players can enjoy three guaranteed Daily Jackpots every single day. These jackpots promise more excitement, more frequent must-drop moments, and round-the-clock action.

The Mega Jackpot has been fine-tuned with a revised must-drop threshold. This change ensures a smoother and more dynamic experience for players chasing the big win.

These upgrades apply across the entire Dream Drop portfolio, including the upcoming Bonsai Dragon Blitz Dream Drop, set to launch on 21st May 2025.

Originally launched in 2022, Dream Drop has already awarded millions of euros to over 20 lucky Mega Jackpot winners. The introduction of Daily Jackpots marks the next chapter in its evolution.

Alastair Smith, Jackpot Business Owner at Relax Gaming, said: “We’ve listened to feedback and dialled up the excitement. Daily Jackpots bring constant action and keep players engaged throughout the day. It’s a bold new twist that builds on everything players love about Dream Drop.”

Martin Stålros, CEO at Relax Gaming, added: “Dream Drop changed the jackpot game from day one. We’re not slowing down. With Daily Jackpots, we’re giving players more chances to win and even more value. This is just the beginning of what’s next for jackpot innovation.”
