In 2023, the gross gambling revenue in the Netherlands surged to 1.39 billion

The Dutch Gambling Authority (Kansspelautoriteit) has released its 2023 market performance report, revealing a growth in gross revenue from games, reaching €1.39 billion, marking a significant 28% increase compared to 2022.

In the latter half of 2023, the average monthly spending on gambling per user stood at €160. In the period from January to June, this figure was €170.

The report indicates a rise in active accounts, with 1.1 million in 2023 compared to 970,000 in 2022, marking a 13% increase. However, it’s worth noting that some users may hold multiple accounts, which could distort the actual number of individual users.

Among the registered accounts, 22% belong to people aged between 18 and 23 years old. Kansspelautoriteit noted that there wasn’t a significant surge in the number of players within this age group compared to the previous year.

In the second half of 2023, approximately 726,000 users played on legal gambling platforms, constituting about 5% of the country’s adult population. Overall, a significant majority, accounting for 90% of the populace, preferred legal gambling platforms.

Stakelogic has broadened its presence within the European market

Stakelogic has strengthened its standing in the European gaming market by teaming up with L&L Europe. This alliance provides access to Stakelogic’s extensive array of slot and live casino games for players in the UK, Malta, and Sweden.
