ANJ has completed review of gambling prevention plans in France
The Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ) has concluded its review of action plans aimed at preventing excessive gambling and underage participation. These plans were submitted by two exclusive gambling operators, 16 licensed online gaming platforms, 203 casinos, and 235 racetracks.
ANJ estimates that 1.2 million people in France struggle with problem gambling. Of these, 360,000 are classified as excessive gamblers. A recent study from 2021 revealed that 34.8% of minors had gambled, with one in four nine-year-olds having participated in a game of chance that year.
