During the forecast period, North America is expected to contribute significantly to the global market’s expansion, accounting for 38% of its growth. Several key factors drive this growth, including the widespread adoption of technology and digital platforms, coupled with the increasing trend of states legalising various forms of gambling. Furthermore, the relaxation of regulations has fostered a conducive environment for the casino gambling market in North America. These factors collectively propel the market’s growth trajectory in the region throughout the forecast period.

The Danish gambling regulatory body will block 83 gambling websites

Næstved District Court has recently granted approval to Spillemyndigheden, the Danish gambling regulator, to block 83 gambling websites within the country. This marks the tenth time that the regulator has successfully obtained court authorisation for such measures, bringing the total number of blocked sites to 359.

Spillemyndigheden employs a combination of automated searches and reports from citizens and businesses to identify unlicensed gambling platforms targeting the Danish market. It deems operators to be operating illegally if they display text in Danish, accept Danish currency, or use Danish payment cards. Should an operator persist in their activities despite requests to cease, Spillemyndigheden can seek court approval for site blocking.

Anders Dorph, the Director of Spillemyndigheden, remarked that they have heightened their efforts to shut down illicit sites, now achieving biannual blockings as opposed to the previous annual frequency. This allows them to target even more sites and reduce the duration during which Danish players are exposed to unlawfully offered games in Denmark.

Earlier, Spillemyndigheden launched a website dedicated to gambling.

The program stands as an exclusive initiative of the PlayStar brand. It’s confirmed that the broadcasts will occur on a weekly basis, featuring the participation of three streamers from New Jersey. These streamers will present an array of games available at PlayStar Casino, providing viewers with a real-time glimpse into legal online casino experiences and slot machines. To ensure presenters become familiar with various gaming offerings during streaming sessions, each will be assigned a specific budget.
