Yggdrasil has significantly expanded its YGG Masters programme. In fact, the leading supplier has now welcomed Lakka Studios as its 20th partner studio.
This new agreement brings the Nordic independent developer into Yggdrasil’s collaborative content framework. Consequently, Lakka Studios will develop and distribute titles through the YGG Masters network.
Importantly, Lakka Studios specialises in light-hearted gameplay. Their focus is on accessible mechanics and a visual style rooted in Nordic design. Therefore, this partnership directly supports Yggdrasil’s strategy to broaden content variety by working with distinctive independent developers.
As part of the deal, Lakka Studios will adopt Yggdrasil’s “Game in a Box” platform. This powerful tool supports complete game development. Furthermore, it provides essential regulatory tooling and access to Yggdrasil’s international distribution channels.
The YGG Masters programme is specifically designed for this model. Partner studios retain full creative control over their games. Meanwhile, they leverage Yggdrasil’s proven technology, compliance infrastructure, and commercial reach. As a result, all titles enter regulated markets worldwide via Yggdrasil’s global operator network.
