The National Betting Authority of Cyprus has unveiled financial performance for the fourth quarter and full year of 2023, distinguishing between land-based (Class A) and online (Class B) offerings.

In the fourth quarter, both Class A and Class B sectors saw notable increases in comprehensive income, profit distribution, and gross gaming revenue (GGR).
Online GGR surged to over €19 million for the quarter, whereas land-based GGR accumulated a total of €14.8 million. Combined, the GGR for both sectors in the quarter reached €30.9 million, marking a 9% year-on-year increase.
The total comprehensive income for Q4 2023 reached €325.6 million, representing a 10% increase, with €235.1 million attributed to Class B and €90.5 million to Class A.
For the full year, total GGR amounted to €123.4 million, indicating a 6% growth compared to 2022. While Class A GGR experienced a slight dip of 0.2% to €54.5 million, Class B surged by 12% to €68.9 million.
In terms of comprehensive income for the full year, the total figure surpassed €1 billion, reaching €1.1 billion. Once again, the online sector dominated with €799.1 million, marking a 17% increase, while land-based offerings grew by 12% year-on-year to €310.1 million.
